Katko, top Republican on House Homeland Security, announces he won’t seek re-election

House Homeland Security ranking member John Katko (R-NY), a congressional leader on cybersecurity issues, has announced he will not seek re-election later this year.

The four-term representative from a competitive central New York district became full committee ranking member in December 2020 and previously was the top Republican on the cyber subcommittee.
