IntSights report: Latin America fertile ground for dark-web criminal operations, but few signs of APTs

SAN FRANCISCO. A joint report by threat intelligence firm IntSights and cryptocurrency security firm CipherTrace offers a rare look into cyber crime in Latin America, revealing a partnership between drug cartels and criminal gangs and a community of hackers idled in the struggling local economies.

The Dark Side of Latin America: Cryptocurrency, Cartels, Carding and the Rise of Cybercrime” was released Thursday during the annual RSA conference here.
