House Oversight lawmakers reintroduce software acquisition bill designed to bring down agency costs

A bipartisan group of lawmakers on the House Oversight Committee have reintroduced a closely watched software procurement bill directing agencies to conduct a review of their current licenses and management processes.

The Strengthening Agency Management and Oversight of Software Assets Act was offered by House Oversight ranking member Gerry Connolly (D-VA) and cyber subcommittee Chairwoman Nancy Mace (R-SC).
