House approves 5G bills addressing national strategy, U.S. role in standards-setting bodies

The House on Wednesday approved three measures related to security of fifth-generation telecom networks, requiring development of a national strategy on securing 5G against Chinese and other threats, calling on the U.S. to play a stronger role in international standards-setting bodies, and embracing the voluntary 2019 “Prague” guidelines for secure 5G deployment.
