GAO recommends creation of coordinating council to help K-12 schools grapple with ransomware attacks

The Education Department and CISA should establish a government coordinating council to pull together “cybersecurity efforts between agencies and with the K-12 community,” according to a Government Accountability Office report, while the cyber agency should develop metrics to assess the effectiveness of tools it provides to school systems.
