Former officials: U.S. relationship with China has permanently changed, but underlying cyber strategy still unclear

Broad re-engagement with China isn’t in the cards regardless of who wins the White House in November, according to former U.S. officials who played key cyber roles during the Obama administration, but they say the U.S. and Chinese economies are so intertwined that “technology decoupling” isn’t a realistic answer either.
