EU security commissioner says coming 5G risk assessment won’t name specific countries or companies

The European Union is one week away from issuing its “synoptic overview” of member states’ national risk assessments related to fifth-generation networks, and a key official says it won’t name names, something that might have helped U.S. officials’ campaign to remove Chinese suppliers like Huawei from the shared global digital infrastructure.
