DHS' Krebs emphasizes ‘model partnership’ with Pennsylvania on election security; nomination on hold

Christopher Krebs, a top cybersecurity official at the Department of Homeland Security, was in Pennsylvania today touting “a model partnership” with the state on election security as voters there head to the polls for congressional primaries.

Krebs has been nominated for under secretary of DHS’ National Protection and Programs Directorate -- he is currently acting in the position -- but his nomination is being blocked in the Senate.
