Democratic net-neutrality plan could clear path for ongoing talks to expand FTC data authority

Democratic leaders from both the House and Senate unveiled a major plan for restoring Obama-era rules for governing the internet that could bring new momentum to separate, ongoing talks for a national privacy law centered on the Federal Trade Commission, according to Democratic lawmakers working on that push.
