Comptroller of the Currency highlights new cyber assessment tool aligned with NIST framework

The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency is promoting new guidance for bank examiners assessing financial institution’s cybersecurity programs, in alignment with the NIST cyber framework and intended to encourage a standardized approach to assessments and security improvements.

“The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency recently developed and distributed the Cybersecurity Supervision Work Program for use by examiners,” according to a June 26 OCC bulletin.
