Agencies describe, and defend, cybersecurity roles for key sectors in Energy and Commerce testimony

Officials from the Energy Department, HHS and Environmental Protection Agency in testimony today will describe their work as sector risk management agencies for cyber under the Obama-era Presidential Policy Directive 21, which is being revised by the Biden administration, and why their roles should be preserved.

The House Energy and Commerce oversight subcommittee is holding a hearing today, “Protecting Critical Infrastructure from Cyberattacks: Examining Expertise of Sector Specific Agencies.”
