Advisors set vote on report recommending investments to improve resilience of key tech

An upcoming meeting of presidential advisors will provide a forum for industry to discuss federal assistance and other “incentives” to improve U.S. innovation in information and communications technology, amid the backdrop of policy makers’ fear of global domination by Chinese firms.

The National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee will deliberate and vote Sep. 3 on a “Report to the President on Advancing Resiliency and Fostering Innovation in the ICT Ecosystem,” according to a Federal Register notice. Registration is required by...
