Senate Rules panel pushes back markup of Secure Elections Act

The Senate Rules Committee will mark up the bipartisan Secure Elections Act on Aug. 22, a week later than originally planned due to the Senate's adjusted recess schedule, as the committee continues work on an updated “chairman's mark” of the bill.

The markup, originally slated for place Aug. 15, was moved after it was announced last week that the Senate's current recess will last through noon on that day.
