Senate Judiciary panel approves Trump’s FBI director pick

The Senate Judiciary Committee on Thursday unanimously approved Christopher Wray, President Trump’s nominee to replace James Comey as director of the FBI, putting Wray one step closer to becoming the head of the FBI and its cyber divisions.

The committee approved Wray by a 20-0 roll call vote.

At his July 12 confirmation hearing, Wray cited the FBI's prominent role on cyber and his intention to pursue greater collaboration with industry and international partners.
