Senate committee approves Karen Evans to head new DOE cyber office

The Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee by voice vote Tuesday approved the nomination of Karen Evans to lead the Department of Energy’s Office of Cybersecurity, Energy Security, and Emergency Response.

Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-HI) was the lone “no” vote. Timing for a Senate floor vote remains unclear.
