House passes Federal CIO Authorization Act, sending bill to Senate two weeks after start of new Congress

The House unanimously passed legislation Tuesday to strengthen the role of the federal chief information officer, along with promoting information technology streamlining across federal agencies, sending the bill to the Senate just two weeks into the 116th Congress.
