U.S.-China commission calls for federal agency actions to secure 5G, IoT devices

A congressionally mandated commission on U.S.-China security considerations is calling for the Federal Communications Commission and the National Telecommunications and Information Administration to examine the vulnerabilities from Chinese suppliers in the build-out of a next generation wireless system, or 5G, and whether additional statutory and regulatory authority is need to mitigate those risks.
