Administration's botnet report still under wraps, release plans uncertain

The Trump administration has yet to release an eagerly awaited report on botnets that's expected to kick off various interagency and government-industry collaborative initiatives to fight a growing and increasingly pernicious threat to the internet.

Administration officials had said the report would come out on May 11, the first anniversary of President Trump's executive order on cybersecurity, but multiple sources said a decision was made on Thursday evening to “hit stop,” as one source put it.
