EU’s updated cyber strategy to define ‘act of war,’ offer response framework

The European Union is set to adopt in the coming weeks a policy defining a cyber “act of war,” allowing a physical response and detailing a framework for EU member states to respond to cyber incidents more quickly, as part of a broader EU push to revise its cybersecurity strategy.

An industry source told Inside Cybersecurity that the upcoming “Framework for a Joint EU Diplomatic Response to Malicious Cyber Activities” will include a definition for a “cyber act of war”...
