Consumer groups seek delay in FCC net-neutrality rollback until court decides FTC authority

A coalition of consumer groups is urging Federal Communications Commission Chairman Ajit Pai to delay next week's vote on his proposal to repeal Obama-era rules on internet access, arguing that an upcoming decision by a circuit court could limit the authority of the Federal Trade Commission to enforce online data privacy and security – a role that is a key tenet of Pai's plan for “light-touch” regulation of broadband service providers.
