Britain unveils update for data rules amid Brexit talks

The United Kingdom has released a proposed update to data privacy and security rules that are intended to incorporate the European Union's new tougher requirements, while talks continue for the UK's departure from the EU.

The British government has assured businesses that the UK will continue to follow EU data rules post-Brexit to ensure continuity of business operations.
