House Homeland Security announces markup of key cyber legislation

The House Homeland Security Committee will be marking up a series of bills on Wednesday, including a long-awaited proposal on establishing a cybersecurity agency within the Department of Homeland Security.

The committee will be marking up the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency Act of 2017, introduced by Chairman Michael McCaul (R-TX), as well as a proposal by Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-CA) on cyber vulnerability disclosure reporting, H.R. 3202.
