Court revises deadlines in lawsuit challenging data security of Trump election commission
A federal district court has set July 17 as the deadline for the Trump administration to respond to an expanded legal challenge to the president's election commission by data privacy and security advocates, in a case that could establish the federal government's role and authority in securing the nation's election system.
The Electronic Privacy Information Center is planning to amend its complaint to include the White House's director of information technology in its original lawsuit filed July 3.
