FCC Chairman Pai withdraws 'midnight' rules including 5G security inquiry

The newly installed chairman of the Federal Communications Commission, Ajit Pai, has revoked a number of actions taken by the commission in the closing days of the Obama administration, including a request for industry input on a review of the security implications of fifth generation wireless service, or 5G, and a commission “white paper” on cybersecurity risk-reduction practices.
