DHS panel identifies information-sharing categories to support cyber insurance

The success of an insurance industry proposal to build a repository of anonymized cyber incident data that might improve risk mitigation will hinge on the willingness of victimized companies to share specific details about cybersecurity shortcomings and related consequences, according to a new report by a Department of Homeland Security advisory panel.
