NIST framework guides Japanese telecom giant in developing cybersecurity products

Mapping internal practices to the U.S. government's framework of cybersecurity standards has led Japanese telecom giant NTT to develop products that are spearheading its campaign to become a global cybersecurity company, according to a top NTT official.

Shinichi Yokohama, head of cybersecurity integration at Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation, oversaw an internal March 3-4 meeting in Reston, VA, that for the first time brought together cybersecurity and other officials from across the corporation's global operations.
