GOP leaders on House Homeland ask Anthropic, Google execs to testify on AI-assisted cyber attack

House Homeland Security Chairman Andrew Garbarino (R-NY) is asking Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei and Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian to testify at a Dec. 17 joint subcommittee hearing reviewing artificial intelligence capabilities and their cyber implications in the wake of an AI-assisted cyber attack disclosed on Nov. 13.
