Health sector group previews guidance on AI challenges through cybersecurity lens

The Health Sector Coordinating Council is working on guidance for 2026 on artificial intelligence cybersecurity risks, including a governance framework and AI secure by design guidance.

The deliverables are from the HSCC’s Cybersecurity Working Group, which in October 2024 formed an AI Cybersecurity Task Group “composed of 115 healthcare organizations across the spectrum to consider how to prepare the sector with operational and organizational guidance,” according to a Nov. 11 release from the working group.
