Stakeholders explore addressing AI supply chain risks in context of cybersecurity policy apparatus

Large language models and infrastructure needed to supercharge artificial intelligence raise supply chain risks, according to stakeholders, who drew comparisons to cybersecurity policy and working in collaboration with government.

“I don’t think data itself was being paid attention to as a supply chain asset that needed to be protected but obviously the game has changed particularly in the context of large language models,” John Miller of the Information Technology Industry Council said on a Nov. 10 webinar.
