DHS inspector general raises concerns over CISA indicator sharing program authorized under info-sharing sharing law

The Department of Homeland Security Inspector General’s most recent evaluation of CISA’s Automated Indicator Sharing program argues the agency needs to finalize future plans for the initiative, which was authorized through a major information sharing law set to lapse Oct. 1.

“The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) met requirements of the Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act of 2015. However, CISA has not finalized its plans for the continued use of Automated Indicator Sharing (AIS),” the IG report says.
