Stakeholders expect short-term lapse of CISA 2015 protections, as federal shutdown looms

With an anticipated government shutdown approaching, stakeholders see limited options for renewal of the Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act of 2015 and its protections before the law lapses on Sept. 30, but they argue the impacts won’t be detrimental to the cyber ecosystem in the long term if lawmakers are able to reach an agreement soon.
