Sens. Hawley, Hassan introduce bill to develop cybersecurity resources for rural hospitals

Sens. Josh Hawley (R-MO) and Maggie Hassan (D-NH) have reintroduced a bill directing the Department of Health and Human Services to create a workforce strategy for bolstering cyber expertise at rural hospitals.

The Rural Hospital Cybersecurity Enhancement Bill would give the HHS a year to offer a plan to lawmakers to fill the current cybersecurity resource gap in rural hospitals, including providing cybersecurity training programs for hospitals and educational institutions in rural areas.
