Former CSRB member calls for revival of investigation into Salt Typhoon campaign

The effective shutdown of DHS’ Cyber Safety Review Board has created an unacceptable gap with no government entity adequately looking into the high-profile Salt Typhoon campaign, according to former CSRB member Jamil Jaffer of the National Security Institute.

“Somebody needs to look at Salt Typhoon and Volt Typhoon and do a deep dive,” Jaffer said at an April 23 event on telecom cybersecurity hosted by NSI and the Center for the National Interest.
