Cyber Readiness Institute finds small businesses lagging in applying multifactor authentication

Small and medium-sized businesses around the globe are implementing multifactor authentication at an alarmingly slow rate, according to the non-profit Cyber Readiness Institute.

“As cyber threats continue to increase in frequency and sophistication, SMBs need to adopt tools such as MFA to protect their employees and their assets,” CRI managing director Karen Evans said in a Tuesday release. “It’s no longer a luxury nor an optional security feature – it’s a fundamental necessity in today’s digital landscape.”
