Senate Homeland Security panel takes up FISMA reform bill addressing incident response, zero trust implementation

The Senate Homeland Security Committee will take the first step today in a business meeting to update the Federal Information Security Modernization Act through a bipartisan and bicameral bill that includes provisions on incident reporting for agencies, zero trust and vulnerability disclosure policies.

The panel is scheduled to vote on the bill along with measures on artificial intelligence, legacy information technology and cyber workforce issues.
