The Week Ahead: Senate Homeland considers software procurement, security bills; NIST celebrates 50-year cyber anniversary

The Senate Homeland Security Committee conducts a business meeting this week to consider bills on software procurement and open source security, while NIST celebrates its 50th anniversary on cybersecurity activities, and defense stakeholders convene at CMMC events.

The Senate panel on Wednesday will vote on several bills with cybersecurity implications including the “‘Strengthening Agency Management and Oversight of Software Assets Act” and “Securing Open Source Software Act.”
