House passes major defense policy bill with provision to codify ‘systemically important entities’ at CISA

The House has passed the fiscal 2023 National Defense Authorization Act with language from cyber policy veteran Rep. Jim Langevin (D-RI) to designate “systemically important entities” at CISA, which is intended to help DHS “understand and prioritize mitigation of risks to national critical functions.”
