House Homeland Security leaders propose requiring ‘Bill of Materials’ for federal procurement

House Homeland Security Chairman Bennie Thompson (D-MS) and ranking member John Katko (R-NY) have filed a sweeping amendment to the annual defense policy bill making changes to DHS procurement processes, including a requirement for contractors to produce a “Bill of Materials” for IT and communications services.
