FISMA incident definition, federal CISO role are potential sticking points in Senate-House talks on cyber package

Negotiations on FISMA reform have the potential to delay the final passage of a major cybersecurity bill approved Tuesday by the Senate, as lawmakers in both chambers work to come to an agreement on what should be considered a “major incident” and the role of the federal chief information security officer.
