FCC seeks input on potential steps to secure internet routing system in response to Russian cyber attacks

The Federal Communications Commission has approved a notice of inquiry asking stakeholders for details on measures they are taking to secure their use of the Border Gateway Protocol, an internet routing protocol which the FCC says is “used to exchange reachability information amongst independently managed networks on the Internet” and has security vulnerabilities.
