Pentagon developing CMMC-tailored application to submit audits, process assessment results

The Pentagon is working on an application for its Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification program that will allow assessment organizations to upload their contractor audits into a portal maintained by the Defense Department.

The application will be part of the Pentagon’s Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS), which is currently used for “automating and improving the program management of IA [information assurance] and cybersecurity processes,” DOD’s John Choi said Tuesday at a CMMC Accreditation Body “Town Hall” event.
