Yahoo! report to SEC on data breaches offers lessons for other companies, lawyer says

A recent submission by Yahoo! to the Securities and Exchange Commission offers an unusually frank assessment of a series of data breaches experienced by the company, including the establishment of an independent review committee, while offering lessons for other organizations and legal counsel, according to Harriet Pearson, a partner at law firm Hogan Lovells who specializes in data security and privacy requirements.
