White House reviewing HHS data interoperability rules amid industry concerns

The White House Office of Management and Budget has been meeting with industry over the past several weeks as it reviews final data interoperability rules proposed by the Department of Health and Human Services last February.

The OMB review indicates possible release of the rules is imminent while healthcare industry groups have raised concerns about the requirements in urging that the rulemaking process by slowed down.
