White House report outlines role of artificial intelligence in boosting cybersecurity

The White House anticipates that artificial intelligence – AI – could have major cybersecurity benefits and help businesses comply with cybersecurity laws and regulations, but it also creates security concerns, according to a new Obama administration report outlining “future directions and considerations” for policymakers.

The new report coincides with the White House-sponsored “Frontiers Conference” in Pittsburgh on Thursday, which will examine policy issues facing the U.S. and the world over the next 50 years and beyond.
