White House relies on staff support as Joyce expands role beyond cybersecurity coordinator

The White House is relying on the support of national security staff to address cybersecurity concerns as Rob Joyce temporarily takes on additional responsibilities as acting deputy to Homeland Security Adviser Thomas Bossert, according to a National Security Council spokesperson.

“There is a very competent cyber staff at NSC and Rob is still providing leadership and oversight to the office during his temporary assignment,” said the NSC spokesperson in an email.
