Tech companies launch cyber framework to establish common taxonomy for information sharing

A group of technology companies have launched a cyber framework to help industry establish a “common schema” for information sharing on security products across multiple vendors.

The Open Cybersecurity Schema Framework (OCSF) was announced Wednesday at the Black Hat conference in Las Vegas. The effort was led by Amazon Web Services and Splunk, and additional members include Cloudflare, CrowdStrike, DTEX, IBM Security, IronNet, JupiterOne, Okta, Palo Alto Networks, Rapid7, Salesforce, Securonix, Sumo Logic, Tanium, Trend Micro and Zscaler.
