Solarium Commission releases workforce report with recommendations for NCD, lawmakers

The Cyberspace Solarium Commission has published a report outlining how National Cyber Director Chris Inglis can work with federal agencies to address cyber workforce issues and build an ecosystem that encompasses agency budgets, hiring authorities and pay flexibilities.

The report is intended to build on a 2020 commission white paper that focused on “identifying systemic barriers stymieing existing workforce development efforts.” The congressionally chartered commission ended its work in late 2021 and now operates as the Cyberspace Solarium Commission 2.0...
