Sens. Peters, Rounds introduce bill to reauthorize information sharing law set to expire in October

Two key cyber lawmakers in the Senate have introduced a bipartisan bill to reauthorize a closely watched information sharing law set to expire at the end of the current fiscal year.

The Cybersecurity Information Sharing Extension Act would reauthorize a law passed in 2015, for 10 years to 2035. The 2015 law provides protections for private sector entities to share threat information with the Department of Homeland Security and with each other through formal and informal channels.
