Senate Homeland Security leaders introduce open source software bill directing CISA to evaluate risks

Senate Homeland Security Chairman Gary Peters (D-MI) and ranking member Rob Portman (R-OH) have introduced legislation tasking the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency with an expanded role in securing open source software through the creation of a risk framework that can be used by government and critical infrastructure.
