Senate Homeland Security approves cyber regulatory harmonization, healthcare security bills

The Senate Homeland Security Committee has advanced legislation to create an interagency committee on cyber regulatory harmonization and measures on healthcare security, the cyber workforce and artificial intelligence.

The harmonization bill, approved in a 10-1 vote, directs the new committee to “develop a framework of cybersecurity and information security regulations, rules, examinations, and other compliance requirements.
